Teledyne Hastings Instruments Contributes to SVC New Book
HAMPTON, VA. -Teledyne Hastings Instruments (THI), a business unit of Teledyne Instruments, recently contributed a chapter entitled the "History of the Thermal Mass Flow Controller" in the Society of Vacuum Coaters newly published book, "50 Years of Vacuum Coating Technology and the Growth of the Society of Vacuum Coaters.”
Contributing co-authors of this text included Teledyne Hastings employees William J. Alvesteffer, William C. Baker, Randy Cole, and David Jacobs.
The chapter traces the development of the thermal mass flow meter and controller from its beginning in the early 1960s through its current technology, listing many of the companies which contributed to this development. It features the contributions that thermal mass flow meters and controllers made to the vacuum coating industry.
